You’re driven, capable, and often seen as “doing fine”—even when you feel overwhelmed inside. Maybe anxiety is showing up before tests, games, or social situations. Maybe you’re questioning who you are outside of school, your sport, or others' expectations. I work with preteens, teens, and young adults to slow down, manage anxiety, build confidence, and reconnect with what matters. You don’t have to do it all alone—and you don’t have to have it all figured out.
My approach is warm, direct, and strengths-based. I lead with empathy while also holding space for accountability. We’ll build on what’s working, explore what’s getting in the way, and take practical steps toward change so you can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
I just elected a membership with Association for Social Work in Sport (ASWIS). This is a Professional Member of the Association for Social Work in Sport (ASWIS), a national organization dedicated to advancing mental health care for athletes.

I am passionate about empowering my clients to achieve their goals. Therapy is a highly useful tool which can aid us in our journey to becoming our most regulated selves. My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and focused upon your personal strengths. I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to meet my clients where they are.
I have experience working with all age groups and demographics, and have a special interest in working with teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. My therapeutic focuses surround life transitions, managing communication, self esteem, and identity exploration.
I believe that our lives are shaped by the way we interact with the world, which is why I use my therapeutic practice as a way to make my clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

Navigating transitionary periods, relationships, identity, and feelings of loneliness, guilt, or shame can be overwhelmingly difficult to manage, not including additional stressors surrounding large family dynamics and conflicts. I am here to support the BIPOC community, in foster and adoptive families, particularly transracial adoptions, and people looking for support in foster and adoption trauma, identity, self-worth, and feelings of fear of failure. If you are struggling to navigate this world and need someone to talk to but don’t know how please reach out. I am here to offer support to teens, young adults, and couples.
As a transracial adoptee from South Korea, I bring a culturally affirming and intersectional lens to every session, using structural, experiential, and narrative modalities. I can offer a voice and guide you through anxiety, depression, relationships, and trauma. I have worked in various settings since 2011, I know personally the realities and challenges.
It takes courage to reach out and may feel scary, but I promise that you have the answers within yourself and my role is to help you unveil it–layer by layer–so that you can bring your best self forward. I believe therapy is the best form of exploring your strengths and sharing your own stories of healing and growth. Let’s connect–reach me by email or phone.

I started my doctoral program in 2000 and could not wait to get through the boring assessment classes so I could start learning about therapy. I mean, really, what can a bunch of numbers and inkblots tell you about a person? Much to my surprise, those early courses piqued my curiosity and the practice of doing evaluations made me a true believer. Hearing clients say things like, “Wow! It makes so much sense now!” or “I didn’t realize I was doing that” is a powerful and humbling experience. Today, assessment is one of my passions because I see how it changes people’s lives for the better.
My approach to assessment is collaborative, which means building a relationship with you to ensure the experience and results are meaningful. Depending on what you are looking for, test results can range from determining a correct diagnosis to providing valuable information about personal motivations and capacities.
Together we develop an assessment plan, engage in the work, discuss the results, and figure out how it fits into your life. Final reports are a combination of your personal insight and my professional experience.

I’m fascinated by how complex we are as human beings and how enriching our emotional and social experiences can be. I find that what’s most helpful in therapy is to take time to find the strength in the individuals and families I meet. I was born and raised in Mexico, which gives me the ability to provide therapy fluently in Spanish as well as in English along with a personal understanding of Latino culture, American culture and multicultural relationships. I also have a connection with Deaf culture in Minnesota and deep respect for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Soy de México, lo que me dá la habilidad de dar consejería en Español o en Inglés con un entendimiento de la cultura y familias Latinas. Me va a dar gusto conocerte y entender por lo que estás pasando.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate difficult emotions, life transitions, and experiences that feel overwhelming or hard to manage alone. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, meaning I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over four years working in emergency room and inpatient psychiatric settings supporting individuals during acute mental health crises. This experience shaped my trauma-informed perspective and deepened my understanding of how challenging and isolating mental health struggles can feel.
During my clinical training, I was also introduced to EMDR concepts while working with trauma-related concerns under supervision. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults and aim to create a supportive space where clients can develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful growth.

I strongly believe in the transformative power of therapy. I work with clients using curiosity and understanding to explore the roadblocks that keep them from becoming who they want to be. I typically work with teenagers and adults, and am open to working with individuals, couples, or families. Many of my clients feel stuck or disconnected from themselves or from the people they care about. Together, we work to understand what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that feels true to you.
I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, and I’ll always meet you where you’re at. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques, all tailored to your unique needs and goals. I’m here when you’re ready.

I believe that building a solid relationship is a key component of a positive therapy experience. I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for each person to share their unique story. I work regularly with the LGBTQAI community and feel strongly about keeping this a safe space for all.
I have a passion for working with college students/young adults, helping you to work through life transitions, and am constantly working towards destigmatizing sex and the like topics. People universally want to feel heard, understood, and seen, and I aim to provide this for each person.
